Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in humble gratitude for the gift of life and the freedom You’ve granted us. We acknowledge that our lives can sometimes feel mundane and uneventful, but we also recognize that our purpose lies within Your divine plan.
Lord, we ask that You remind us of the words of Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Help us to understand that there is purpose and beauty in every season of life, even in the quiet moments. Guide us to be patient and trust in Your timing.
Father, we also seek Your wisdom and discernment in our decisions. May we remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15, who acted recklessly and squandered his inheritance, only to later realize the value of his father’s love and forgiveness. May we learn from his mistakes and strive to make choices that align with Your will.
Please grant us the strength to resist the temptations of recklessness and impulsivity. As Proverbs 14:16 says, “A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident.” Help us to be wise and seek Your counsel in every decision we make.
Lord, protect us from the consequences of our own folly and guide us back to the path of righteousness. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). We thank You for the grace You have shown us through Jesus Christ, and we pray that we may live in gratitude and faithfulness to Your teachings.
In Jesus’ name, we pray,
Amen.
